The aim of this research is to reveal the social relations of Alawiyin Shia and Alawiyin Sunni in the city of Palembang.Even though they are of different schools of thought, there has never been a dispute or conflict between them which has led to conflict.This research was conducted in the city stingray hood scoop of Palembang which has a fairly large population of Alawiyin people.

Data collection tools were carried out using participant observation and in-depth interviews.The results of the research show that the social relations of Alawiyin Shia and Alawiyin Sunni in Palembang are carried out in an associative and disassociative nature.In its associative nature, daddario ej10 social relations are carried out in various forms of cooperation either through trade, religious preaching or various socio-religious celebrations and activities.

Meanwhile, in its dissociative nature, social relations take the form of limited disputes and contradictions.The bond as one Alawiyin family (called congregation), is the most important factor that is able to minimize conflict and more open disagreements.This research also proves that differences in religious beliefs do not always lead to open conflict, especially if there are strong kinship and family ties.
